This design features a classically shaped, shield signet with an engraved Fleur De Lys pattern. It is a low profile and simple ring with a blackened FDL and a tapered band. The symbol of the Fleur De Lys is actually based of a Lily flower and features three petals bound together near the base. It is supposed to represent life, perfection and light and was most popularly adopted by the French Monarchy in the 12th Century.
